For clients

How exactly does the search engine work?

You describe your casting call—for example, the type of talent you are looking for, how many people you need, and the location and period of the assignment. Our search engine then searches our network and, within seconds, shows a list of suitable profiles, including photos and availability.

Based on this, you create a draft casting call. Once you submit it, we review it and approve it if it meets our guidelines. We then match the most suitable talent to your casting call. You can try this for free on our clients page.

How much does it cost to post a casting call?

Posting a casting call is always free, even if you receive multiple applications. Only when you want to contact talent directly do you choose a paid option: pay per casting call or choose an annual iCasting Pro subscription. View all rates on the pricing page and in our terms of delivery.

How do payments through the balance work?

As a client, you add funds to your personal iCasting balance in advance. Subscription fees, individual casting-call costs, and any other paid features are deducted from this balance. You can find more information in our terms of delivery.

How does iCasting Pro work?

iCasting Pro is an annual subscription for clients that provides access to additional features, such as viewing talent contact details. The subscription runs for twelve months and renews automatically unless you cancel in time. See our terms of delivery for the exact details.

How do I contact talent I have found?

Once you have selected a paid option, you can message talent directly through the platform chat, or view their contact details if you have a subscription. This allows you to arrange your casting without an intermediary and under transparent terms.

Can I manage multiple casting calls at the same time?

Yes. Your client dashboard gives you one clear overview of all active casting calls, applications received, and conversations with talent. This helps you stay organised, even for larger productions with multiple roles.

Can I have a payment to talent processed through iCasting?

Yes, where available, you can choose to have a payment to talent processed through iCasting. iCasting then acts as an administrative and technical intermediary. The gross amount is deducted from your balance, iCasting deducts a 3% administration fee, and the talent receives the remaining net amount. No separate invoice is issued to you for the talent fee or the deducted 3%. See also our terms of delivery.

For talent

How do I receive casting calls that suit me?

Based on your profile, including your categories, age, region and availability, we automatically show you relevant casting calls.

What happens if I miss a casting call or respond too late?

No problem—new casting calls are added every week. Turn on notifications in your profile settings to be notified immediately of new calls that match your profile, so you can respond more quickly next time.

How and when will I be paid for a job?

You agree on the fee directly with the client, usually through the platform chat. iCasting always recommends confirming payment arrangements in writing before the job starts.

Do I need experience to sign up as talent?

No. iCasting is for both new and experienced talent, from extras to professional actors and models. A complete profile with clear photos is often more important than extensive experience.

AI casting assistant

What does the AI casting assistant do?

The AI casting assistant helps you create a casting call. Describe what you are looking for, the assistant asks follow-up questions, and it turns your answers into a draft casting call that you can review, edit and publish.

Is the AI casting assistant free?

Using the AI casting assistant is currently free. Publishing the final casting call may involve costs, depending on the plan you choose. See the pricing page and our terms of delivery.

What should I avoid entering into the AI search engine?

Do not enter sensitive personal data, passwords, payment details, health information, or any other information that is not necessary to create a casting call. See also our privacy policy.

Safety & payments

How do safe payments work on iCasting?

Subscriptions and casting-call fees paid to iCasting itself are handled through the iCasting balance and secure payment providers. Fees paid by a client to talent for a casting call may take place outside the platform. We strongly advise you never to transfer money in advance to an unknown party. Read more on Online safety and in our terms of delivery.

What if I have a problem with a client or talent?

Try to resolve the issue directly through the chat first. If you cannot resolve it, or if it involves unprofessional or inappropriate behaviour, you can report it through our Report misuse page.

How do I report misuse or suspected fraud?

Go to the Report misuse page. We handle reports confidentially and, where necessary, take action against the relevant account or content.

Are all profiles on iCasting verified?

We review profiles based on email verification and, where relevant, additional information. We cannot guarantee the full identity of every user, so we always recommend following our safety advice when in doubt and reporting suspicious situations immediately.
